The Aquilo Wind Ensemble is giving another performance of my wind sextet Animals which was written specially for them and premiered last November in the Cambridge Festival. Their concert takes place in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London (an old haunt for me, as I did a postgrad year there) on Monday 23rd April at 6.00, and will also include an early and little-known work by Britten, a quintet by Graham Ross and Janacek’s irrepressible Mladi.
